Description Stephan Seitz 2008-06-12 19:58:59 UTC
eog obviously starts up with about 80% of screen width. If the screen is e.g. 3840 x 1024, eog starts with 2880x2065+480+46 which is really annoying as one has to move and resize the window (not necessarily the shown image) a few times to completely fit into the visible screen.
I propose two solutions:
a) keep last window position in mind an re-use it on startup
b) calculate on base of the screen height, not the screen width

anyway, thanks for providing this software ;)

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/eog/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
