Description Jean-François Fortin Tam 2007-07-23 18:49:16 UTC
...not only f-spot's DB date :)

There is absolutely no tool that I know of (for the linux desktop) for adjusting the EXIF date of shots taken with a misconfigured camera.

If you know of one that I could use in the meantime, please tell me!

adust date _do_ change Exif if you enable 'Write Metadata to File' in the prefernce dialog.

For photos that you have already modified, just modify them again by one minute or something, after enabling 'Write Metadata to File'.
Comment 3 Jean-François Fortin Tam 2007-07-23 20:20:27 UTC
thank you folks, I was not aware this feature was available :)

... now, it doesn't allow renaming the files according to that new exif date, by any chance? (the whole idea was that I want to avoid those PICT4325.JPG filenames)

Hey Jeff, I actually wanted to do the same thing.

jhead should do what you want. Once you install it, try the following command in a directory containing all the photos in question:

jhead -nf%Y-%m-%d--%H-%M-%S *.jpg
