This is a dup of a bug originally filed in Fedora bugzilla (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=238351); "Tracker doesn't index files saved in the desktop folder of the current user."

I've tested with current svn (as of 20070502), and can confirm files under the Desktop folder are truly not being indexed.

I cant replicate this on ubuntu

can you try trackerd -i /home/jamie/Desktop

and see if it indexes them

I can't replicate anymore too using current svn on Fedora. Closing.
