GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 413611
Bidi/RTL support
Last modified: 2017-12-13 17:29:21 UTC
librsvg appears to lack bidi/RTL support. The SVG 1.1 standard states that the unicode bidirectional algorithm should be used when rendering text elements: http://www.w3.org/TR/SVG/text.html#RelationshipWithBiDirectionality Here's an example. Source: http://noc.wikimedia.org/~tstarling/he-test.svg Rendered: http://noc.wikimedia.org/~tstarling/he-test-new.png The system used for rendering was rsvg 2.14.0 on FC3, with the fonts-hebrew and fonts-hebrew-fancy packages installed.
Moving to NEEDINFO because I can't access the files. Please attach them to this bug and reopen it. Thanks.
