GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 383499
SVG-graph created with Dia won't render correctly at Wikimedia Commons
Last modified: 2017-12-13 17:28:54 UTC
Please describe the problem: I have uploaded an image here: http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Image:Graph_theory_tree.svg I have uploaded a total of four versions, none of which are working correctly. In the first ones the text labels are positioned badly. In the fourth one the texts are converted into paths and some black box appears. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a graph in Dia. 2. Load and save it in Inkscape (optional step) 3. Upload it to Wikimedia Commons and view the PNG-rendering Actual results: The image doesn't look like it did in Dia and in Inkscape. The text labels are badly positioned. Expected results: I'd expect the image to look exactly like it did in Dia and Inkscape. Does this happen every time? Yes. Other information: I have described everything in the File History and on the discussion page of the image.
Looks good to me here, using librsvg SVN TRUNK. Thanks for the bug report.
Sure the newest version looks good, but how about these older versions of the same file: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/archive/d/d3/20070519094437!Graph_theory_tree.svg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/archive/d/d3/20061207150312!Graph_theory_tree.svg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/archive/d/d3/20061203234435!Graph_theory_tree.svg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/archive/d/d3/20061203232533!Graph_theory_tree.svg ?
Reopening
Here is another image with the same bug, the texts moving up and left from where they should be: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:PageRank-example.svg (Permanent link to the SVG-file itself: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/archive/3/36/20071128012848!PageRank-example.svg )
