Description Steve Frécinaux 2006-08-27 15:50:34 UTC
Currently it is quite common to have the same docs for several languages, for instance pygtk and gtk+. But when searching, both versons of the pages show up in the results, but I'm only interested in the one related to the language I'm currently using.

So it would be great to be able to specify that language before searching (IIRC MSDN library allowed that).

That would be really nice. Then others can put their documentation into devhelp as well...
Comment 2 Wouter Bolsterlee (uws) 2008-01-10 14:09:18 UTC
Confirming and updating version.
Comment 3 Aleksander Morgado 2010-12-15 20:45:02 UTC
Working implementation available in the 'group-by-language' branch in gitorious:
http://gitorious.org/devhelp/devhelp/commits/group-by-language

If at least one book of a given language is currently enabled, a new item is added in the Search combobox which allows looking for results only in that specific programming language.
Comment 4 Aleksander Morgado 2010-12-16 21:09:16 UTC
This one, along with some other fixes, is available in the "improvements" branch in gitorious, the previous listed branch is obsolete:

Fixed in git master, will be available in devhelp 2.91.4
