It would be nice if the Window List had an option to stack windows groups.  Only the group of the currently focused window would be shown.  If you click on that button, it would show a list of all the current window groups (the same list that you see across the task bar today, but stacked instead of side by side).  If you move the mouse over one of these groups, it would open another menu to the right with a list of that group's current windows.

What you request looks more like the window selector with a "group windows" feature (ie bug 346308). Am I understanding correctly?
