Description Christophe Lambin 2006-06-20 05:30:34 UTC
Mike Dee wrote in news.software.readers (msgid:<pan.2006.06.20.02.00.13.156899@emteedee>) :

That reminds me. While I did have Pan 0.99 installed, I noticed that there
was no menu to edit the score file from the UI (at least I could not see
one at the time). Another minus in this C++ version. There was only a
dialog window to add filtering/scoring via set fields.

In the stable version there is "Tools" menu, "Edit Scorefile..." Which
brings up a stored text file (Score) in your chosen external editor, so
you can enter or modify scoring rules. It's fast and convenient, now not
available.

Frankly I cannot even find the scorefile after adding a scoring rule using the pan 0.101 "New Scoring Rule" dialog. I have tried to add the rules I used on Pan 0.14.2 ... no joy. As far as I can tell appears that the file is never created if it does not exist. I do not know what filename Pan wants. If I did I would create the scorefile by hand. I do not see this addressed in the information for either Pan 0.102 or Pan 0.103 on the http://pan.rebelbase.com/ page.
