Description Léonard Gérard 2006-04-06 05:34:53 UTC
it seems that digikam is finaly looking for a good noise reduction plugin,
inspired by the so great noise ninja. indeed, it's a feature hard to find under
linux.

what make the noise ninja tool great :
-it has some 'noise profile'
-it can auto generate the noise profile from the image
-you can help to autogenerate the noise profile by selecting some area you think
 should be of uniform color
-it can batch applying noise profile depending on the exif datat ( especially
the 2 important one : the camera model and the iso mode )

in the first time a good all automatique could be great, or a without
automatique but with a tool to produce noise profiles depending on exif.

it will rock !

it's based on a filter of our good old friend 'The Gimp'.
