GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 325043
Folder Export Uses Reverse Chronological Order
Last modified: 2006-02-21 02:21:24 UTC
Please describe the problem: The ordering of the images exported by f-spot for a Folder Export (I use Original) is now reversed since the images now have the newest ones at the top. Steps to reproduce: 1. Select a set of images 2. Export to a Folder Actual results: Images are exported in the reverse order Expected results: Images to be exported in the correct (chronological) order. Does this happen every time? Yes Other information:
Created attachment 56424 [details] [review] Patch This patch works for me. It also corrects the file names for comments (I did not file a bug on this, which should be simply the image number.txt without the "img_" prefix).
Thanks for the patch, I'm going to hold off for a couple days while I consider the issue. This is a general problem with the reversed timeline, the slideshow exhibits the same issue. It would be simple to just call reverse on the array before the new collection is created but we would probably need to know if the current sort is reversed or not.
OK. Should I file a new bug on the comment file names, and split out that part of the patch? It's a minor correction, but doesn't work with the current Original.
I've committed that change now. Thanks for reminding me again.
With the latest CVS, slideshow still shows everything in reversed order.
It sounds like Larry commited the comments part, and the date ordering is now configurable. Export will use whatever sorting is used in the main photo view.
