Description Paul Betts 2005-12-05 05:17:39 UTC
Please describe the problem:
The PDF located at http://opensource.cse.ohio-state.edu/poster.pdf does not
display anything. I believe it was exported via Photoshop, but I'm not certain.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the file located at the above URL (also attached to this bug)

Actual results:
The page is blank

Expected results:
The page should display a green Copyleft logo and some text

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Comment 1 Paul Betts 2005-12-05 05:19:15 UTC
Can't be linked because file is > 1 MB, it is at the URL however
Comment 2 Teppo Turtiainen 2005-12-05 18:05:30 UTC
Works fine with evince 0.4.0 and poppler 0.4.2 on Ubuntu Breezy. However, it
does take several seconds to open even on an Athlon64 3700+. What version of
evince and poppler are you using?
Comment 3 Paul Betts 2005-12-05 22:02:40 UTC
According to pkg-config, poppler is at 0.4.2 and About says Evince 0.4.0.
Strangely enough, the icon for the PDF is correct, I just can't see it in Evince.
Comment 4 Paul Betts 2005-12-05 22:04:11 UTC
Hmmm, after letting it sit for ~15s, it showed up! I guess the real problem is,
Evince doesn't provide any notification that it's still drawing
Comment 5 Nickolay V. Shmyrev 2005-12-05 22:29:47 UTC
Paul, thanks for reporting this. Current CVS notifies about loading, so this bug
should be semi-solved. Of course, there is problem of loading speed
optimization, but I think it's already handled somewhere in poppler bugzilla. So
let me close this bug.
