Description Ronald Bultje 2005-03-11 14:23:25 UTC
So, I did some talking with Reinout (who's member of the usability team), and we
decided that it'd be cool to be able to graphically select subtitles. This
should not cause UI bloat when opening files, though, since that confuses the
user. The best way to do this, UI-wise (in our opinion), is by adding a new menu
option 'Add new subtitle' to view -> subtitles ->. This requires backend
enhancements as well, since the backend needs to be able to open a subtitle file
while media is loaded/playing. I'm willing to do that work for the GStreamer
backend.

It's over two years since the last comment. Any news? Should be great to have this.

It's a closed bug, that's why there aren't any comments, and it's already fixed, see bug 165981.
