Description Ralf Gesel|ensetter 2005-01-20 16:51:01 UTC
Hi there,

in conventional image processing, there isn't much use of selecting more than
one layer at once, I guess. But as for animation sequences (which is a really
great thing!) I often want to move an entire bunch of layers. Sometimes, too, I
wish to delete all layers but one or two, this makes me clicking like hell.

So, could you maybe imagine to add such feature? Alternatively, one could group
a bundle of layers first, and then move or copy the whole lot.

Thanks for reading
Regards
Ralf.

This is an interesting feature and it has been requested several times. You
should have searched for duplicates mentioning "layer groups" or something
similar. And by the way, setting the keyword "easy-fix" does not make it easy
to fix, and setting the priority to High does not mean that some volunteer
will magically find the time to work on it. ;-)

Note that you can already move (and transform) groups of layers. That's what the
linked flag is good for that you can activate in the Layers dialog.
