Description Stephen Kennedy 2004-09-15 21:35:08 UTC
The menu/toolbar editor should support the new gtk+ uimanager interface.
Comment 1 Archit Baweja 2004-12-20 23:36:34 UTC
Umm, it really depends on libglade to support it first (which it doesn't, AFAIK)
Comment 2 Mikael Hallendal 2005-01-12 16:06:14 UTC
I'll mark this as an enhancement for now.
Comment 3 James Stephenson 2007-11-09 22:05:21 UTC
This should be of high priority, now, especially with the release of Gtk 2.12 that has GtkBuilder in it.
Comment 4 Tristan Van Berkom 2007-11-09 23:09:14 UTC
yes this depends firstly and foremostly on bug 490678

I'm adjusting the severity back to normal (believe me I wish as
much as anyone else that marking a high priority would mean
someone would magically come and do the work, but in our world of
meager resources a bug is either new, or it is fixed).

right now unfortunately I cant afford to volunteer my time to
write these features in my free time, implementing/integrating the UIManager
(or even most other useful GObjects) I can gauruntee will be a sinch (maybe a
couple days work since you need to write an action tree editor) provided
that the parser framework is properly reworked as described in bug 490678.

Comment 5 Pietro Battiston 2009-07-17 07:44:10 UTC
Moving to "enhancement".

Citing Tristan from bug #490678:
"I dont know if Glade will ever have or really need uimanager support."
Comment 6 Daniel Svensson 2014-09-11 13:34:53 UTC
This can be closed, GtkUIManager was marked as deprecated from 3.10 an onwards.
Comment 7 Tristan Van Berkom 2016-01-29 16:44:36 UTC
Safe to say this will never happen.
