The baseline of the £ symbol is misaligned in gnome-terminal using Bitstream
Vera Sans Mono.  It is OK in other applications using this font.

I think this and #302382 are the same bug and the two should be merged.

Confirmed with vte 0.11.13 and gnome-terminal 2.11.1 on Ubuntu Breezy.
