Description dtoman 2002-11-28 20:19:00 UTC
Package: gnome-terminal
Severity: normal
Version: 2.0.1
Synopsis: gnome-terminal 2.0.1 in RedHat8 crashes (all running copies) during resize of the terminal window
Bugzilla-Product: gnome-terminal
Bugzilla-Component: general
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.3)

Description:
Description of Problem:

gnome-terminal crashes when its window is being resized

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. run a new terninal in RH8
2. run 'man 2 open' in the terminal
3. use mouse to resize the terminal window (right bottom corner). I was
able to invoke the problem multiple times - just after a few of seconds
of resizing the window (don't release the mouse button and move and
move...)

Actual Results:
All started copies of the terminal (in any workspaces) crashes and
disapear :-(

Expected Results:

perhaps no crash?

How often does this happen?

I have seen this first time today but it can be easily reproduced (at
least today and on my machine). Usually it doesn't occur immediately
(except the first time :-( ) when you start to resize the window.
