Description eyz 2002-10-12 07:11:19 UTC
Package: gnome-panel
Severity: major
Version: 2.0.6
Synopsis: panel icons editting is broken when language is set to simplified Chinese
Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel
Bugzilla-Component: Panel
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.3)

Description:
Description of Problem:

When language is set to simplified Chinese, editting properties of panel
icons will cause the panel to crash.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Set language to simplified Chinese, or just add "export
LC_CTYPE=zh_CN.GB2312" to your bashrc
2. Log off and log in again
3. Right-click an icon on the panel and click "Proerties".

Actual Results:
The "Properties" window pops up but the panel crashes.

Expected Results:
The panel should not crash.

How often does this happen?
Well, this is the most weird part. The happens to most of the icons,
but not all of them. In my case, shortcuts to GEdit isn't affefcted.
