Place a line object on a Dia canvas.
Place the left end on the right end
(so that there is 
just a dot).  
The ends connect and cannot be separated.

A fix has been added in the CVS so that no object can connect to
itself.  It might be overkill, but I see no other way to avoid these 
problems.
