GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 92629
bring focas to a window that is behind another window with out moving it to the front
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
is there a way to bring focas to a window that is behind another window? with out moving it to the front? For example, If I have two windows open like a terminal and lets say mozilla. I can open the terminal above mozilla. then right click on mozilla, this would focus on mozilla so I can navigate while still having the terminal hovering. this is useful when trying to see the terminal and operate mozilla at the same time. there is many other uses for this. I always though this was a feature of Xfree86, but metacity doesnt allow me to do this. I guess the best example would be to try WindowMaker or fluxbox.
though==thought
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/showattachment.cgi?attach_id=9509 This patch fixed it. Piece by peice I am fixing metacity:-)
It kinda fixed it, I just wish it would focus only if I right clicked, but this is better than nothing.
