I have filters and rules that download articles that may interest me,
particularly in high-volume newsgroups. It would be very helpful to have an
indication of what articles are available on-disk, as opposed to the total
number of unread articles. For example, I'll never have time to read the
11453 unread articles in rec.photo.digital, so seeing that number in the
newsgroups pane doesn't help me very much. I would find it very useful if
there was a column in the pane for "unread cached articles".

after a "last chance to second these requests" announcement in
pan-users last week.
