Description lars.bamberger 2002-08-23 10:27:37 UTC
Pan 0.13.0 built from source on a i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc crashes with a
segfault when trying to display the article
<sdubmu0p0ltn6usmi58q3goon708kfihvf@4ax.com>

Pan can download the message, is's stored in the cache, just displaying it
will crash Pan.

I think the crash is due to the first line in the body of the article:
begin 600 format.com.jpg

runlog, backtrace and the article to follow ....
Comment 1 lars.bamberger 2002-08-23 10:37:37 UTC
I am unable to create a new attachement. The backtrace, runlog and the
article will be mailed to the pan-users list. (Sorry for the traffic)
Comment 2 lars.bamberger 2002-08-23 21:08:54 UTC
This is a Begin-Bug, like Mirocsoft OjE. See:
http://216.239.39.120/translate_c?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://piology.org/ILOVEYOU-Signature-FAQ.html

It's a parser problem, Pan thinks its a uuencoded attachement.

charles: I think this is a duplicate for bug #67554. Could you
double-check?
Comment 6 Charles Kerr 2002-09-17 04:33:15 UTC
