GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 86327
Mouse Cursor settings not working properly after login second time
Last modified: 2009-08-15 18:40:50 UTC
Tested on Solaris Intel -19th June 2002 build - Start Gnome Control Center. - Double click on the 'Mouse Option'. - Modify cursor settings in the 'Cursors' tab. (say choose 'Large White cursor') - Log out of the session and login again. first time it works fine i.e Mouse cursor change in appearance . -Again log out of the session and login .The Mouse cursor does not change in appearance ,it reverts back to default setting. However the large white cursor appears when mouse is brought over the menu panel.
when you log in, what do you get from 'ls -l ~/.gnome2/share/cursor-fonts/' ?
(i've not been able to reproduce this on sparc solaris on a build from the 21st)
This bug is specific to Solaris Intel. I tested on '19th June 2002' build i observed the above problem. i will check it in later version and then i will update it.
After login second time 'ls -l ~/.gnome2/share/cursor-fonts/' ? the following message is displayed cursor-large-white.pcf -> /opt/gnome-2.0/share/gnome/cursor- fonts/cursor-large-white.pcf
[Search for 'luis spamming' to catch every instance of this email.] In order to better track Sun's bugs for Sun and Ximian's internal use, I've added a temporary keyword to some bugs. I apologize for the spam, and for the use of an additional keyword, but this is the best way for Sun to track 'it's' bugs without interfering with the community's own triage and bug behavior.
