This stack trace looks alot like a mystery problem that was reported in 1.0.6 that I hope was fixed with 1.0.7. It revolves around mishandling situations where your locale is mis-installed. 1) try running in locale C - that should fix the crash for now 2) try upgrading to 1.0.7 - that should fix the problem more generally Either way _please_ contact me to confirm this. I have not been able to close these reports becuase no one has been able to confirm that they are fixed.
Changing the locale to C solves the problem in both 1.0.6 and 1.0.7, but 1.0.7 still crashes if importing the file. BTW, if you need testing with internationalization issues, I'd be willing to help (ie. I cannot get Spanish characters to display, as in bug 66270).
