hi there,

i was recently surprised when i tried to run gfloppy and couldn't format a
floppy... i can, using mkdosfs on the command line. then i realised the
mtools dependency...

i was wondering if the team could please add additional functionality into
gfloppy of formatting floppies using mkdosfs, and therefore drop the mtools
necessity to format as vfat. (but obviously use it, if it IS there)

GNOME 2.2 now. You might want to talk to Stephane Demurget on this
stuff..he's planning to do some work on gfloppy.

I fixed this a while ago. The mkdosfs backend is preferred though,
because more error can be reported. You can change the preferred
backend using the "/apps/gfloppy/prefer_mkdosfs_backend" gconf key so
this is available for sysadmins or advanced users.

So I'm closing this one, bugzilla will feel lighter :)
