Description of Problem:
Yelp crashes on startup, backtrace says more than I can

I think I fixed this for my copy in the last release, it was something
to do with trying to do string functions on a NULL string.  There are 2
or three instances.  Will submit a patch when I get around to it. 
Should be an easy fix
