Description Dave Bordoley [Not Reading Bug Mail] 2002-05-17 19:59:46 UTC
most other browsing apps have an "open location..." option in the file
menu. In nautilus this would launch a dialog box which the user could type
in a location or browse the file system via a file selector. This would
replace the current go=> location which is just a horrible ui nightmare.

And you should probably put the correct version on these, BTW, Dave.

ccing calum since we talked about this on #usability a while
ago....looking for feedback

I think this will be useful if we decide to ditch the Location bar...
although I have to say I rarely if ever use this feature in "other
browsers" because it's usually so much easier just type straight into
the location bar, if it does good filename completion.

eh...i changed my mind here..I like the roll down location bar we
currently have (just wish the view and zoom controls were on the
toolbar but thats another bug). notabug.
