GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 793573
network-manager-applet outdated French translation
Last modified: 2019-02-25 19:14:15 UTC
Hello, it seems the translation for network-manager-applet hasn't been updated in a while and it looks like some translations have been automatically tagged as "fuzzy". Notably in sentences ending with "...". Right now, the applet feels half translated in environments such as Xfce or Mate.
Here is the bug report from Fedora bug tracker: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1533495 As said by Piotr: network-manager-applet is hosted on https://l10n.gnome.org/module/network-manager-applet/ and any contributions should (theoretically) go through the GNOME translation team (https://l10n.gnome.org/teams/fr/). [..] https://github.com/NetworkManager/network-manager-applet/commit/0602c3fa6c62c7a3781fb6004d700a70dbbd4594#diff-42793ab00dcd448b33776fc86e5eaaf4 [..] This commit was done without consulting the GNOME translation project, sadly. Not sure what to do here, but https://translate.zanata.org/project/view/NetworkManager?dswid=318 is _not_ related to Fedora.
Thanks Jean-Baptiste for catching this. I just wrote that mail: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-i18n/2018-February/msg00053.html
I have tried the latest version, it looks much better. Thanks a lot! Is it possible by any chance to also update the nm-1-4 branch?
(In reply to slatchurie from comment #3) > Is it possible by any chance to also update the nm-1-4 branch? I don’t think that’s likely to happen. We lack the manpower to do that kind of work and need to focus on things that have a higher priority.
