GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 792041
GIMP looks for fonts on every startup
Last modified: 2017-12-30 08:13:20 UTC
After uninstalling LibreOffice and installing OpenOffice last month, GIMP has started scanning for Fonts on EVERY startup. This should not be necessary. I've had an issue like this before because it happened for some time every time I upgraded LibreOffice to a new version (this updates the C:\Windows\Fonts folder), but previously, GIMP only looked for Fonts on startup until I restarted my computer after the LO opgrade, and maybe once more, then it stopped scanning for fonts on startup. But this time, GIMP continues to do this after numerous restarts and I can't make it stop. My C:\Windows\Fonts folder hasn't been touched in three weeks (the newest file was changed on December 7th). Output from Cygwin: Jan@Jan-Pc /cygdrive/c/Windows $ stat fonts File: fonts Size: 0 Blocks: 96 IO Block: 65536 directory Device: 5ec277b3h/1589802931d Inode: 5629499534390954 Links: 1 Access: (0750/drwxr-x---) Uid: (328384/NT SERVICE+TrustedInstaller) Gid: (328384/NT SERVICE+TrustedInstaller) Access: 2017-12-09 17:32:07.598804200 +0100 Modify: 2017-12-09 17:32:07.598804200 +0100 Change: 2017-12-09 17:32:07.598804200 +0100 Birth: 2017-09-29 15:46:33.600858100 +0200
