GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 791143
Big modal gnome-shell dialog pops up when using any date chooser in evolution
Last modified: 2017-12-04 13:00:16 UTC
Created attachment 364826 [details] Screenshot of evolution task editor and gnome-shell notification Steps to reproduce: 1. open evolution 2. in evolution, open any date chooser, e.g. from 2.a contact editor, 2nd tab, birthday 2.b new task, start or end time What happens: Gnome-shell pops up a modal dialog (see screenshot attached), asking whether I want evolution to lock global key combinations. What should happen: No unnecessary distortion of user. Additional info: This issue has not been present on GNOME 3.24 (Fedora 26). It is probably a result of changes to gnome-shell made in 3.26 for supporting key grabbing. gnome-shell dialog text translated back to english using the de.po file [1]: > Evolution wants to inhibit shortcuts > > You can restore shortcuts by pressing Shift+Ctrl+Esc. > > [Deny] [Allow] This issue is not present with the calendar widget in gtk3-widget-factory or created and previewed in glade. Installed software versions: gnome-shell-3.26.2-1.fc27.x86_64 gtk3-3.22.26-1.fc27.x86_64 evolution-3.26.2-1.fc27.x86_64 mutter-3.26.2-1.fc27.x86_64 clutter-1.26.2-1.fc27.x86_64 libwayland-client-1.14.0-1.fc27.x86_64 [1] https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-shell/tree/po/de.po?h=gnome-3-26
