Description Todd 2017-11-03 23:50:32 UTC
$ rpm -qa \*simple-scan\*
simple-scan-3.12.2-1.el7.x86_64

Love the utility!

Would you please consider adding the following:

1) put an "X" in the upper right corner of a scanned image to delete it

2) add "delete" to the right click context menu when right clicking on an image.

3) on the "Page" pull down menu, add a "delete project" (delete all) and when selected, also reset the name of the saved file.

4) add a button to rescan for scanners. Also add this to the "documents" pull down.

5) place the name of the saved file somewhere.

Many thanks,
-T

Thanks for taking the time to report this.
However, you are using a version that is too old and not supported anymore by GNOME developers. GNOME developers are no longer working on that version.
By upgrading to a newer version of GNOME you could receive bug fixes and new functionality. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain a newer version of GNOME.
Please feel free to reopen this bug report if the problem still occurs with a recent version of GNOME, or feel free to report this bug in the bug tracking system of your Linux distribution if your distribution still supports the version that you are using.

For future reference, please only file one topic per task. This ticket cannot be handled as progress cannot be tracked via the ticket status - it covers five different things, and some of your requests have already been implemented in the meantime (such as #2).

Hi Andre,

This is a YUGE issue with RHEL and clones. The code is almost unmaintained. I asked them to upgrade anyway:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1509490

Question: have all the issue I asked about been resolved on the latest version? If not, would you please reopen this bug for the latest version?

Many thanks,
-T

We don't have enough volunteer (wo)manpower to test every single issue against recent versions. So we rely on volunteer users to report bugs and enhancement requests for recent versions, sorry...
Comment 4 Todd 2017-11-05 06:02:21 UTC
Created a virtual machine of (bleeding edge) Fedora 27 (beta) with simple-scan 3.26.1. The behaviour I am describing has not changed from 3.12.2 to 3.26.1. So I am reopening this request for enhancement and changing the revision to 3.26.x.
