GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 78986
Just did up2date (selected "all") and panel crashed on reboot.
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Package: gnome-core Severity: normal Version: 1.4.0.4 Synopsis: Just did up2date (selected "all") and panel crashed on reboot. Bugzilla-Product: gnome-core Bugzilla-Component: panel Description: Ran up2date, selected all packages to update (last did this about a week or two ago) and rebooted the machine. (By the way, the GUI "logout" from Gnome didn't work... it kinda "hung" for a long time, and I had to bring up a console and do "shutdown -r now" to reboot. The machine started up, but when I logged in... I got a dialog that said the panel crashed. I also have a laptop where the panel crashes on login, but has never had "up2date" run on it (it's just 7.2 with no updates). This may be unrelated. Debugging Information: (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)... (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)... (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)... 0x405cf1d9 in __wait4 () from /lib/i686/libc.so.6
