GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 786910
Touch input does not work with server side decorations
Last modified: 2017-11-02 04:31:02 UTC
It is currently impossible to drag or close applications using the touch screen that do not have client side decorations. Examples include Firefox or other applications like xterm. Steps to reproduce: * Open an application using server side decorations * Try to move it using the touchscreen Result: * This does not work Expected Result: * This should work, in the same way it does for GTK+ client side decorations
the issue has been reported on Ubuntu there https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1728412 "I have a laptop with a touch screen and a new installation of 17.10. For the most part the touch screen is supported ok. I can move around most windows ok, I can zoom in the pdf viewer with a two-finger-pinch gesture. However, firefox has a differently looking toolbar and I can neither move the window, nor does it react to tapping the minimise/maximise/close buttons."
Indeed. It's already reported (as I see you noticed) so I'll close this one as a duplicate of bug 770185. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 770185 ***
