To replicate:

1. Search for "games"
2. Clear the search bar
3. All the results are still there

The results only gets cleared if I click on the search icon.
Probably would be cleaner to not jump back to the front page when the search bar is cleared, but to leave the results page blank, until something new is typed.

Just tried it on GNOME 3.24, and works as it should there.
