GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 785076
CTRL+ALT+letter keyboard shortcuts cannot be set
Last modified: 2019-03-20 11:45:39 UTC
Trying to set any CTRL+ALT+<some letter> keyboard shortcut doesn't work. When you go to gnome settings and then keyboards and try to set a custom shortcut (or redefine an existing one), you can change name or command, but trying to enter a new key combination like I say, nothing happens as if you didn't press anything at all. When you try to use CTRL+<some letter> or ALT+<some letter>, it works. This is really annoying as a lot of my shortcuts are in this form. Some existing shortcuts are like CTRL+ALT+META+<some letter>, but I have no idea what the meta key is so there is no way of using these shortcuts. More info: - Fedora 26 - Gnome 24 - Wayland
So I restarted my computer and it now works. Go figure.
