Hello.

When I am installing spice-webdavd version 2.2 on microsoft windows 10 guest, the webdavd service is installed and started, but after a minute or so it stops.
Windows event log shows an application crash with error code 0x80000003. Even starting it manually with spice-webdavd -p 9843 --no-service does not work, because it constantly displays warnings/errors about error reading from handle.

I can confirm this bug, with the same reproducer.
Version 2.2 x64 on Win 10.

Same problem occured on me:
Guest - Windows 10
Host - Manjaro linux Gnome Edition Stable Branch
Gnome - 3.24.2
Gnome-Boxes - 3.24.0
Spice - 0.12.8
Spice-webdavd service on guest - 2.2

I also created spice channel:

I confirm the bug.
In my case the service stops after a few seconds.

Tested on Windows 7 guest running on Fedora 27/Gnome Boxes 3.26.

This bug is still open, as webdavd is still version 2.2.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow

and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/phodav/-/issues/
