Description Rainer 2017-04-14 18:04:57 UTC
I have installed gnome 3 a couple of weeks ago.

At that time, I have also installed many of the extensions available at the shell extension website, including the Applications Menu Extension. Everything working perfectly.

Yesterday, I tried to edit to applications of the Applications Menu Extension, downloading Alacarte. After a few hide/ unhide operations, the button of Applications Menu Extension disappeared from the top panel and I have found no way to get it back.

My first guess was a bug with this particular extension, but I have tried installing the Frippery Applications Menu extension and the Gno-Menu extension.

None of the menu-related extensions are adding a button to the top panel after installing.

They are all grayed out in the tweak-tool and have an ERROR button beside them on the extension website.

Naturally, I have tried to reinstall the extensions, reload gnome and to restart the computer. All to no avail.

Other, non menu-related extension work as expected.

I don't see how this is related to the gnome-session code base. If this is still an issue, then please bring this up in a support forum of your distribution - thanks!
