GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 780266
Help strings show up in UI and data PO files
Last modified: 2017-03-30 14:37:29 UTC
After the recent changes in master, strings from help/C/ show up in po/ and po-data/. Help has its own, separate .pot/.po files.
I wasn't sure how that works in practice - are you picking those separate po files up for translation on your own ? Do I need to do anything for that ? How does it work ?
Damned-lies can extract translations from .page files, as you can see here: https://l10n.gnome.org/module/recipes/ However, I disabled LINGUAS check for help, as I don’t think d-l supports Meson yet.
I'll take the help stuff out of the make-pot script again, then.
The bug is closed as FIXED, but there are no changes in git?
It’s still a problem, especially since a complete help has been merged.
you don't say which branch and/or commit you are experiencing this problem with, so it is hard to be sure if it is still a problem or not.
I was only ever talking about master, as commit a136dc11486635a4579f838b575830333a569fb0 never made it to recipes-1.0.
https://git.gnome.org/browse/recipes/commit/?id=346f9f64105c4a5861ac8164ba3b99bf2b13850a did not help ?!
It did. I wrote that comment before you committed the fix and closed the bug.
