Description Marinus Schraal 2017-02-18 15:14:16 UTC
This dev cycle tracker stopped returning results to 2 search queries.

Reproduce by getting the last release of gnome-music or git head and type any search query. You should see the following errors:

(gnome-music:1529): Grilo-WARNING **: [tracker-source-request] grl-tracker-source-api.c:504: Could not execute sparql query id=46: parser stack overflow

(gnome-music:1529): Grilo-WARNING **: [tracker-source-request] grl-tracker-source-api.c:504: error in parsing query id=47 : Invalid normalization specified

This is music doing queries for the search phrase for any album/artist/song. The song query works, the other 2 don't.

album : https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-music/tree/gnomemusic/query.py#n797
artist : https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-music/tree/gnomemusic/query.py#n856

I can provide more debug info if needed.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/tracker/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
