Description Paul Menzel 2017-01-18 14:18:06 UTC
With NetworkManager 1.4.4-1, and the NetworkManager OpenVPN plugin 1.2.6-2, a connection cannot be set up without specifying a CA certificate. That’s a little confusing.

1. Required fields should be properly highlighted.
2. Under Advanced you can select, that the certificate shouldn’t be verified. So it should be allowed to set up a VPN with no CA certificate.

bugzilla.gnome.org is being shut down in favor of a GitLab instance.
We are closing all old bug reports and feature requests in GNOME Bugzilla which have not seen updates for a long time.

If you still use NetworkManager and if you still see this bug / want this feature in a recent and supported version of NetworkManager, then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/-/issues/

Thank you for creating this report and we are sorry it could not be implemented (workforce and time is unfortunately limited).
