Is this a regression in 3.22?
Well previously I was using this version of application: gnome-documents-3.14.3-3.el7.x86_64 documents and collections were placed in the same list, so there were no tabs - documents/collections. I am not sure in which version between 3.14 - 3.22 was this change implemented. But from my point of view in 3.14 I was able to open collection and see its content(list or grid of documents) and open any of them successfully. So yes it might be a regression.
Confirmed: I observed this in Fedora 25 and on Debian/testing. I reported this in the Debian bug tracking system: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=851061
Same thing on Arch and gnome-documents 3.22.0

Thanks for testing, closing as FIXED.
