Evolution has started crashing at a number of occasions. Before it was rock stable. This report is about the cases when evolution crashes when changing the search text.

I go into search bar. There is already text. I delete a character and write a new one. Evolution hangs with sigterm.

Seems like I didn't get all of the trace in the first post.

Comment 2 Milan Crha 2016-12-01 17:31:24 UTC
Thanks for a bug report. Could you install debuginfo package for the evolution itself, please? It'll uncover most of the backtrace and will show function names and line numbers, instead of those "??".

In any case, I'm pretty sure you face bug #767228, thus I mark this as a duplicate of it.

I think the difference might be that you did not have enabled accessibility (Universal Access in GNOME settings aka gnome-control-center). When you disable all of that (unless you use it intentionally), then it should get better.

Comment 3 Jeppe Bundsgaard 2016-12-14 17:00:57 UTC
You were right - it was connected to Universal Access. I had installed Onboard keyboard to get an international version of the on screen keyboard for my touch screen. Uninstalling Onboard has solved the problems I had.
