Description Joe Palmer 2016-11-08 12:00:56 UTC
Currently there is a option for frames to drop-only. We have a requirement to only duplicate frames where there are gaps and never to drop any. With the current set of options, we cannot find a configuration that results in duplicated frames only without any being dropped. It would therefore seem sensible to add an duplicate-only option to compliment drop-only.
Comment 1 Sebastian Dröge (slomo) 2016-11-08 12:35:35 UTC
Are you planning to work on that? What would duplicate-only have as the target? A minimum framerate, but it could go up to any framerate?
Comment 2 Joe Palmer 2016-11-08 12:52:04 UTC
Yes, I'm working on a patch now. From our perspective, we are trying to replace frames that were dropped from a live stream without dropping any more frames that were actually recieved. So a minimum framerate with no maximum would work for us.
Comment 3 Joe Palmer 2016-11-08 16:07:13 UTC
OK, this patch is beyond my abilities. I hope someone else is able to pick this up.
