I'm suggesting to implement a feature known e.g. from Windows Task Manager: A separate view which only lists GUI applications by their window title. There should be an option to get to the process creating this window.
This is a view used for non-technical users, so it probably should be the default view for first runs at least.

Thanks for taking the time to report this. I would say this is a duplicate of ancient bug 143238. What do you think? Do you agree? Can I mark it as a duplicate of that one?
