Description yvan 2016-10-14 15:06:15 UTC
Hi,

I am running Gnome 3.22.1 on Debian Sid. This bug was here also in 3.18, and maybe before. I am going to describe an example of the problem, but it is probably more general.

In Gnome settings, I have set my computer to suspend after 15 minutes idle. I often watch HTML5 videos in fullscreen with Firefox. When watching, there is obviously no mouse or keyboard input.
The problem occurs when the video is longer than the idle timeout: once the video stops and exits fullscreen, the computer goes to sleep.

This is annoying, because most of the time I would prefer to keep working on my computer, or simply switch it off before the night. So, in my opinion, idle timeout should be reset when an application releases fullscreen.

Best regards,
Yvan
