Description Michael Hofmann 2016-10-13 11:17:26 UTC
System: Arch Linux x86_64 with GNOME 3.22.1

When I open an archive in file-roller, I get an overview of the archives top-level contents as usual. Clicking any items in the list doesn't work though - I can neither view files nor change to a sub-directory within the archive. Selecting items with a single left-click works, but double clicking and/or pressing Return yields nothing. On right clicking, the context menu shows up with all entries disabled (grayed out). Dragging items out of the file-roller window into Nautilus doesn't do anything either.

This only happens when I run GNOME on Wayland. When running on Xorg (same system, no changes whatsoever), file-roller works as expected. The type of archive doesn't seem to make any change.
Comment 1 Michael Hofmann 2016-10-13 19:29:45 UTC
I've noticed that version 3.20.2 behaves the same way (different machine, also running Arch Linux x86_64).
I'm changing the reported version to "unspecified" now.
Comment 2 Zjaume 2016-10-16 16:23:29 UTC
The same happens to me
Comment 3 asfalit 2016-10-22 10:06:29 UTC
Can confirm, works fine on X, doesn't work on Wayland.
Comment 4 elias 2016-10-22 18:29:00 UTC
The problem seems to be `gtk_clipboard_wait_is_target_available (clipboard, FR_SPECIAL_URI_LIST)` on line 741 in src/fr-window.c

Probably a duplicate of bug #772969

#772969 also shows a crash

Still seeing this bug. It's very annoying... :(
