Description jeremy9856 2016-10-01 12:44:06 UTC
Hello,

Evolution ask sometimes for passwords whereas they are already saved ! It can happen for an account or all of them. Closing / reopening Evolution "fix" the problem but it reappear from time to time.

Thanks !

If you need some particular infos to fix this, I will be pleased to provide them :)

Thanks for a bug report. First of all, what is your evolution version, please? You can find out in Help->About. The rest debugging depends on your version, but just as a started, try to run evolution from a terminal, to see whether it'll print anything useful there when the issue arises.
Comment 3 jeremy9856 2016-10-06 15:59:27 UTC
I use Evolution 3.20.5 on Fedora 24. I will run evolution from a terminal from now and provide info when/if that happen.

Is this about IMAP accounts configured via gnome-online-accounts (see "Edit > Preferences")?
Comment 5 jeremy9856 2016-10-15 21:40:00 UTC
No, the accounts are configured directly from evolution. As you saw (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=768983) the GOA doesn't work for me to add imap account.

Here is the output with evolution launched from terminal when the password is asked

Thanks for the update. The above is the reason. That's filled as bug #769666, thus I mark this as a duplicate of it.
