Description chrysn 2016-09-29 16:34:24 UTC
dns-sd support ("nearby sites", where a web browser offers addresses for navigation that are discovered using zeroconf/avahi on the local network) has been dropped in the latest bookmark overhaul.

making local sites available is still a useful feature and should be retained in epiphany (even if bookmarks might be the wrong place for it, then we'd have to find a better one); please consider re-adding it.

some previous discussion on this can be found in #582438. the feature was originally introduced as a response to #144969. an alternative (or imo rather orthogonal) approach that would retain the feature in the gnome experience even when not implemented in epiphany is sugested in #772196.
