I have noticed that often when I awake my machine from suspend that on the locked screen although I can still use the cursor to do things, it is not actually visible, though it comes back into visibility once I have logged in. This mostly occurs after I experience this bug #767180, however this is not always the case.

I am running Ubuntu GNOME 16.04.1 with GNOME 3.20.

I initially reported this issue here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1620727 But thought I should also do so upstream.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
