GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 77036
ScalableGorilla trash can icons have extra line
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
The "trash-empty-accept.svg" and "trash-full.svg" icons from the ScalableGorilla theme show several extra junk lines. The extra junk varies slightly depending on the zoom factor: At 100% magnification, each icon shows one extra line extending rightward from the hinge point of the trash can lid. At 75% and 150% magnification, each icon gains a second, thicker junk line extending rightward from the foot pedal at the base of the can. At 200% magnification, the foot pedal line vanishes and we just have the hinge line. At 25%, 50%, and 400% magnification, the foot pedal line returns and the hinge line vanishes. I can't really tell whether this is a nautilus bug or a librsvg bug. I can say that it only appeared when I moved from GNOME 1.4.x to GNOME 2.x. The ScalableGorilla theme itself is unchanged.

It may be worth pointing out that the junk lines are not just painting artifacts, but are actually part of the icon. If one floats the mouse over a junk line, the icon highlights just as it would if the mouse were over any other part of the icon. Same goes for click selection, etc.
Version clarification: I am using the following, all installed via Ximian's Red Carpet: librsvg2-1.1.6.0.200203291243-0.snap.ximian.1 nautilus2-1.1.11.0.200203291243-0.snap.ximian.1
This is a bug of librsvg.
Jakub Steiner claims this is librsvg's bug.
