GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 769927
Background change causes memory leak in gnome-shell
Last modified: 2016-08-15 14:33:15 UTC
Changing wallpaper causes gnome-shell memory usage to rise by few MiBs. This is easily noticeable if you use a script which changes wallpaper every X minutes, as I do. This happens if using system configuration, EOG a.k.a. Image Viewer, gsettings.
This was fixed a while ago, but has been sitting on the stable branch unreleased. I guess it's time for a .4 release, I'll do that in the next couple of days. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 766353 ***
